This little dress belonged to my mother when she was a child. I don't remember how I was the lucky one who ended up with it, but I cherish it.
It is not in the greatest condition, but it's at least 75 years old by now. Things happen when you get old, as I've been learning during the last few years. Lawdy mercy. Whoever said "the best is yet to come," well ... I tend to disagree but that's another post for another day.
Back to this adorable dress ...
The joy of having this dress is having the photo of my mother wearing it. Isn't she just a doll? She has the bluest eyes, to this day.

That is a lovely dress and the photo makes it even more precious. I have one of my mom's dresses hanging in my studio - it's aqua and it was made by my grandmother. I, too, am lucky enough to have a photo of my mom wearing that dress.
